Executive summary:

In a study (CRTL, 2008), the flash point of Vanilline was determined according to the EC A9 guideline.

The cup of the apparatus was filled with the sample. The heat was supplied at a constant rate 5°C/min with stirring at 120 rpm.

The tests were performed with a temperature ramp beginning at a predetermined temperature.

The determined flash point (closed cup) was 160°C at 1022 hPa.

Description of key information

The determined flash point was 160°C at 1022 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flash point of Vanilline was determined according to the EC A9 guideline (closed cup) and GLP.
