Results and discussion

Boiling point
Key result
Boiling pt.:
229 - 239 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 020 hPa

Any other information on results incl. tables

The boiling range was determined as the lowest and highest temperature obtained from Experiment 3 (228.79°C) and Experiment 4 (238.68°C). The results of experiment 1 and 2 were excluded because they were most probably biased due to the high sample amount. During the various measurements the observed boiling temperatures varied. This was most likely because the test substance is a mixture (UVCB).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The boiling range of Guaiacwood oil was determined to be 229°C - 239°C (502 - 512K) by using DSC.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of Guaiacwood oil was investigated according to OECD guideline 103 under GLP using the DSC method under GLP. The boiling temperature was determined at 229°C - 239°C (502 - 512K).
