Description of key information

The surface tension of an aqueous solution of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol (1 g/L) was determined to be 69.3 mN/m at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
69.3
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension of 2 -[(2 -nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol been determined using a tensiometer and following OECD guideline 115, EU Method A5 and the GLP.

The surface tension of an aqueous solution of the test item (1 g/L) was determined to be: 69.3 mN/m at 20 °C.

The surface tension test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements for the OECD 115 and the EU method A.5
