Additional information

The explosive properties of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol were determined according to the test method A.14 'Explosive Properties' as described in Directive 440/2008 and according to GLP.

Mechanical sensitivity (friction) : No explosion occured within 6 tests using a pinload of 360 N, only a discoloration of the test item was observed in all tests.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock) : No explosion occured within 6 tests using a mass of 10 kg falling a height of 0.4 m was observed.

Thermal sensitivity : No explosion was observed within 3 tests with a circular nozzle plate with a hole of 2 mm diameter.

The test item 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) n°440/2008, Method A.14.

The explosive properties test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements.
