not specified

Test material

Constituent 1
Reference substance name:
86411-30-3
IUPAC Name:
86411-30-3
Details on test material:
C10-13 LAS (CAS #68411-30-3) with the following alkyl chain
length distribution: C11 45%, C12 36.5%, C13 18.5%. Average

Sampling and analysis

Details on sampling:
Water samples were removed periodically for radiometric analysis
of 14C-labeled LAS. Four fish were removed on each of days 1, 2,
3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 14 for radiometric analysis.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
Lepomis macrochirus
Details on test organisms:
Bluegill sunfish (avg wt. 4.0 g; avg length 68 mm) were placed in a
60 liter aquarium (375 fish total) and maintained for 21 days. A
second aquarium held 100 control fish. Fish were fed daily with a
dry pelleted trout chow ration of approximately 2% of body weight.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The whole body BCF was measured as 104
Executive summary:

The bioconcentration of CASRN 68411 -30 -3, a structural analog of the target substance was measured in a flow-through study on Lepomis macrochirus. The study was carried out for 21 days at 17 +/- 1 C, and included an elimination phase. The test substance was C14 -labeled LAS. The whole-bosy BCF was determined to be 104. Basde on the result, the TS is also not expected to be bioaccumulative.
