Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is considered to be corrosive to skin and will cause eye damage in view of the pH measured at ca 1 for production material

When diluted in water (solublity tests), the pH is raised so on dilution, it is quickly expected to be less corrosive to skin

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin irritation / corrosion

Reference
Endpoint:
skin irritation / corrosion, other
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study need not be conducted because the available information indicates that the criteria are met for classification as corrosive to the skin or irritating to eyes
the study need not be conducted because the substance is a strong acid (pH <= 2.0) or base (pH => 11.5)
Justification for type of information:
The substance is considered to be corrosive to skin and will cause eye damage in view of the pH measured at ca 1 for production material
When diluted in water (solublity tests), the pH is raised so on dilution, it is quickly expected to be less corrosive to skin
Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
adverse effect observed (corrosive)
