First-aid measures

- General advice:

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

- Following inhalation:

Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately.

- Following skin contact:

Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

- Following eye contact:

Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid

immediately.

- Following ingestion:

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash out mouth with water. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie,

belt or waistband. Get medical aid.

- Most important symptoms and effects: Causes serious eye irritation.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or carbon dioxide.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Not available.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

These products are carbon oxides (CO, CO2).

- Advice for fire fighter: Material should be kept out of eyes and of skin. As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand.

MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear. Do not release runoff from fire control methods to sewers or

waterways.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

For non-emergency personnel:

Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapour or dust. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear

protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

For emergency responders:

Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if mist, vapor or dust is generated.

- Environmental precautions:

Do not let product enter drains.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material and dispose of as hazardous waste. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Protective measures:

Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and

clothing. Keep container tightly closed.

Advice on general occupational hygiene:

Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment

before entering eating areas.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container dry. Keep in a cool place. Ground all equipment containing material. Keep container tightly closed. Keep in a

cool, well-ventilated place. Combustible materials should be stored away from extreme heat and away from strong oxidizing

agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls:

Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate

ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment.

Eye/face protection Wear safety glasses and chemical goggles if splashing is possible.

Hand protection Wear appreciate gloves to prevent skin exposure.

Body protection Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.

Respiratory protection Avoid breathing dust. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.

Thermal hazards Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity

The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.

2. Chemical stability

Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

No dangerous reactions known.

4. Conditions to avoid

Incompatible materials.

5. Incompatible materials

Strong oxidizing agents, strong acids.

6. Hazardous decomposition products

Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Chemical waste generators must determine whether a discarded chemical is classified as a hazardous waste.

Additionally, waste generators must consult state and local hazardous waste regulations to ensure complete and accurate

classification.

Product / Packaging disposal:

If empty container retains product residues, all label precautions must be observed. Return for reuse or dispose

according to national or local regulations.
