PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Taking into account the lack of biodegradation in a ready biodegradation test, the substance 2-(4-amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol is considered as potentially persistent or very persistent on the basis of screening criteria.

The log Kow of the substance 2-(4-amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol at ambient temperature is 0.27. This low log Kow indicates that the substance has hydrophilic properties and is not considered as bioaccumulable or very bioaccumulable.

The acute toxicity data assessed on daphnia and algae are higher than 1 mg/L Therefore 2-(4-amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol is not considered as T on the basis of these aquatic toxicity results. The substance is neither classified as carcinogenic (cat. 1A or 1B), nor germ cell mutagenic (Cat. 1A or 1B), nor toxic for the reproduction ((cat. 1A, 1B or 2). It is not classified as "Specific Target Organ Toxicity Repeated Exposure category 1 or category 2 ". Therefore the substance 2-(4-amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol is not considered as Toxic.

The substance 2-(4-amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol is potentially Vp/P, however it is not B/vB and not Toxic. Therefore it is not PBT or vP/vB.
