A measured boiling point of 101°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the registered substance using a relevant test method (Siwoloboff capillary method). Although full details are not available, the result is considered to be reliable. The measured boiling point for the registered substance is expected to be driven by the boiling point of the volatile constituents in the registered substance. The result is however considered to be reliable and used for the chemical safety assessment (CSA).

Trimethoxy(methyl)silane, Constituent A1 (CAS 1185-55-3; EC No. 214-685-0) has a reported boiling point of 102°C at 1013 hPa in a handbook or collections of reliable data. Also, 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylamine (Constituent B1, CAS 13822-56-5; EC No. 237-511-5) has a measured boiling point of 198.4°C (471.6 K) at 1013 hPa using a photocell detection (capillary) method in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 103 and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). In addition to the photocell detection method, a DSC method was also performed by the same author (Haas 2017). In the DSC method, a boiling point value of 198.8°C at 963 hPa was obtained for Constituent B1 of the submission substance. 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propylamine also has a predicted boiling point of 190°C at 1013 hPa using a validated QSAR estimation method.

Constituents C, D, E, F and G are expected to have higher boiling points than Constituents B since these are higher molecular weight compounds. The molecular weights of Constituents C, D, E, F and G are in the range 226.38 to 930.47 g/mol. In comparison, the molecular weights of Constituents B are in the range 179.29-221.37 g/mol.
