Three single measurements were performed; the lowest observed value was taken as the self-ignition temperature of the test item. Measurements were taken over two consecutive days, when the atmospheric pressure ranged between 1017 -1018 hPa.

The auto ignition temperature of Octan-3-one (ethyl amyl ketone) was investigated according to test method A.15, as described in the annex of EEC-directive No 440/208. The test item has an auto-ignition temperature of 365°C at an atmospheric pressure ranging between 1017 -1018 hPa.
