Description of key information

In a BCF study from 1978, published in 1992 (MITI), bioaccumulation factors ranging from 260 to 2150 have been determined for DPPD. Furthermore, there QSAR predictions have been performed to further assess the potential for bioaccumulation of the registration item. The BCF base-line model (v.02.09 - July, 2017; available in OASIS Catalogic v5.12.1) predicted a log BCF (log(L/kg) wet weight) 2 39 ± 0.187, corresponding to a BCF of 245.5 ± 1.5 for DPPD. Additionally, the BCFBAF Program (v3.01, part of EPI Suite v4.10) estimates the Log BCF = 2.332 (corresponding to BCF = 214.9 L/kg wet-wt).

Considering the available information in a weight-of-evidence approach, the screeining criterion for B (BCF > 2000) appears not fulfilled.
