Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which melts above 300°C
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Remarks:
no GLP
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
thermal analysis
Key result
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
340 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no melting point up to decomposition
Conclusions:
The study was performed according to EU method A.1 with acceptable restrictions (no GLP) and therefore reliability of Klimisch 2 has been assigned. The substance decomposes at 340 °C without melting.
Executive summary:

The screening-DTA (closed glass crucible, heating rate 3 K/min, no GLP) of the sample Iminopyrazolsäure shows no melting point, but decomposes above about 340 °C with a heat release of about 180 kJ / kg. ‘Iminopyrazolsäure' exhibits no melting point up to 340 °C according to EC A.1.
