Description of key information

Soil Adsorption Coefficient (KOCWIN v2.00):

Koc:  1E+010  L/kg (MCI method)

Log Koc:  11.137      (MCI method)

Koc    :  1031  L/kg (Kow method)

Log Koc:  3.013       (Kow method)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Koc was calculated using EpiSuite 4.1., the suite of physical/chemical property and environmental fate estimation programs developed by the EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention Toxics and Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC).

The tested substance is expected to be a substance with a low potential for adsorption, as confirmed by the partition coefficient log Kow of < 0.3.

Based on REACH regulation annex VIII column 2 (specific rules for adaptation from column 1) the study need not be conducted based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient).
