Description of key information

The solubilities at 20°C and at pH 6.6 were found as follows:

- solubilities determined via Co content:

<1.5 mg/L with a loading rate of 0.1 g/L and 1.0 g/L, resp.

- solubilities determined via N content:

<12 mg/L with a loading rate of 0.1 g/L and 1.0 g/L, resp.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination was performed by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105.

The test item is a complex mixture. Every constituent contributes to a different degree to overall solubility, depending on its own individual solubility and its mass fraction in the test item. The water solubility was therefore investigated via determination of dissolved amounts of cobalt, nitrogen and carbon, the main elements contained in the test item.

Different sample weights (different amounts of surplus) were applied ( each about 1 g/L and 10 g/L) to investigate whether fractions of different solubility are existent (partial solubility).
