Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

ACS-12-T proved to be readily biodegradable under aerobic conditions. In a BOD study conducted according to OECD Guideline 301 guidelines, the substance was readily biodegraded to > 90% within an incubation period of 28 d;  the validity criteria of OECD Guideline were fulfilled. Based on the physical chemical properties (water solubility, log Pow) and the ready biodegradability any significant bioaccumulation of the test substance is not to be expected.

Relevant and reliable results from acute toxicity testing of the test item on aquatic invertebrates as well as of strucurally closely related chemicals to aquatic algae do not indicate any significant toxicity for potentially exposed environmental organisms.

Considering all available toxicity data, the test item is not to be regarded as a substance exhibiting PBT or vPvB properties that would trigger a classification according to Commission regulation (EU) No. 286/2011.
