Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
-0.4
Temp.:
25 °C
Remarks on result:
other: rough estimation
Conclusions:
The partition coefficient was calculated to be: log Pow = -0.4
Executive summary:

Neither the HPLC-method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 nor the flask-shaking method according to OECD Guideline No. 107 were applicable for the determination of the partition coefficient of the test item. Thus, the log Pow-value for the test item was estimated from its solubility in n-octanol and in water, respectively. In the present study, the n-octanol solubility of the test item was estimated to be at least 40 g/L. The water solubility of the test article was estimated to be 100 g/L (or above) in the water solubility test. Thus, the partition coefficient, log Pow, of the test item was calculated to be -0.4.

Description of key information

The partition coefficient was determined to be log Pow = -0.4

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
-0.4
at the temperature of:
25 °C
