Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The evaluation of the toxicity potential of the substance to fish was done by the assessment of the experimental data on Similar Substance 01. No experimental data is available for the (target) substance. Justification for Read Across is given in Section 13 of IUCLID.

The substance was tested in a non-GLP guideline study according to the OECD Guideline 203. Ten Zebra fish were exposed under static conditions to different concentrations of the substances for 96 hours and the fish were observed for mortality.

In the Key study, the zebra fish were exposed to five concentrations of Similar Substance 01: 10, 18, 32, 58 and 100 mg/l (nominal) corresponding to 5.15, 11.3, 18.5, 46.3, 71.3 mg/l, respectively (measured). The substance was mixed with alkylphenol-polyglycoether and tetrahydrofuran to make a stock solution (1 and 132 mg/l, respectively). The test substance was present at least partially as a suspension. The LC0 and the LC50(96h) in Danio rerio are both higher than 71 mg/l (measured conc.). No mortality was observed.

The effect concentration is well above their water solubility limit (<1 mg/l). Therefore,it represents a worst-case assumption where water solubility is achieved by excessive use of solvent. In conclusion, the substance shows no effect in the range of water solubility.

Target substance is expected to have the same toxicity potential and thus is not considered to have effects up to the limit of solubility.
