Description of key information
The general physico-chemical propertiesof(μ(5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N')hexafluorodiboronhave been determined.
Melting/FreezingPoint.
Less than -20 °C (253 K),using the freezing point method, designed to be compatible with Method A.1 Melting/Freezing Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 102 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.
Boiling Point.
The test item showed theloss ofvolatiles between60and 300 °C (333– 573 K),and thendecomposed from approximately 330 °C (603 K)at 100 kPa. As the test item decomposed, no value for boiling point could be determined. The procedure used was designed to be compatible with Method A.2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008and Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.
Density.
1.04 x 103kg/m3 at20.0± 0.5 °C(relative density 1.04), using the pycnometer method, designed to be compatible with Method A.3 Relative Density of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 109 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 02 October 2012.
Vapour Pressure
The vapor pressure of (μ(5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N')hexafluorodiboron has been determined to be 1.3 x 104 Pa at 25 °C, using the isoteniscope method, designed to be compatible with Method A.4 Vapour Pressure of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 104 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 23 March 2006.
Partition Coefficient (n-octanol/water).
The partition coefficient(Pow)of the test item has been determined to beless than 3.81 x 10-3at21.0±0.5°C, log10Pow<-2.34, using the shakeflask method, designed to be compatible with Method A.8 Partition Coefficient of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008andMethod 107 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.
Water Solubility.
Determined to be greater than 95% w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 ºC, using a flask method, designed to be compatible with Method A.6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995
Equivalent to 4.8057 g per 0.2752 g water and therefore water solubility is 17.46 g/mL
Flash Point.
8 ± 2 °C, using a closed cup equilibrium method designed to be compatible with Method A.9 Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008
Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases).
388 ± 5 °C, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.15 Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.
