Reference
Endpoint:
stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical

Description of key information

According to Reach Annex IX, column 1 of end point 7.15, this study is only required if stability of the substance is considered to be critical. Tetraethyllead is a stable chemical and does not show instability when mixed with typical organic solvents.

Additional information

According to Reach Annex IX, column 1 of end point 7.15, this study is only required if stability of the substance is considered to be critical. Tetraethyllead is a stable chemical and does not show instability when mixed with typical organic solvents. Various historical studies have shown TEL is fully miscible in gasoline, ethanol, diethyl ether, benzene, diethylamine and methanol amongst others
