Executive summary:

The test was performed according to the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals No 305 and Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP, OECD 1997).

The aim of the study was to assess bioconcentration of MCPA techn. in rainbow trout (BCF).

The test material was used in two concentrations, namely 0.10 and 1.0 mg/l. The test duration was seven weeks. Uptake phase duration was five weeks while depuration phase - two weeks.

The "steady - state" bioconcentration factor is 0.4 to 0.8 while kinetic bioconcentration factor is 0.01. It should be concluded that MCPA techn. is not bio-accumulating in fish, namely rainbow trout.
