Description of key information

Water solubility is (significantly) less than 3.66 mg/L using the flask method. The water solubility of a very similar phenate was measured using a non-standard technique and determined to be 0.082 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.082 mg/L
at the temperature of:
55 °C

Additional information

The most reliable data available is for a closely related analog, the Rausina, 1996 study, and so this was chosen as the key study. A reliability rating of 2 was assigned to this study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as it is considered to be a well-conducted non-guideline non-GLP study. Restricted because study lacks detailed information on individual data and the study is a specialized method that was developed due to very limited water solubility and difficulty in analysis.
