Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The mean particle diameter of the particles (125 - 1000 μm) with and without fine dust was 442 and 449 μm, respectively.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of 5-Amino-o-cresol was determined according to GLP and following guideline CIPAC Handbook Volume F, MT 59.1 (1995) by sieve analysis method.

The sieve analysis was carried out in the dry sieving technique using analytical sieves with the mesh width of 125 to 1000 µm (125, 150, 250, 355, 500, 710 and 1000 µm). In a preliminary study, particle size fraction below 125 µm was removed by sieving with the 125 µm sieve. The amount of fine dust (<125 µm) was determined to be 2.35% of the applied mass. The test was run in single replicate at a temperature range of 16 – 20 ⁰C.

The mean particle diameter of the particles (125 – 1000 µm) with and without fine dust was calculated to be 442 and 449 µm, respectively.
