Description of key information

The test item is colourless to pale yellow liquid with slight haze permitted.

The freezing point (A1) result was obtained was less than < -20°C and no boiling point can be determined as the test item decomposes before it boils.

The Relative density was determined to be 0.980 at 20°C.

The vapour pressure was determined using static method and was found to be 0.10 mbar at 20°C (mean of runs 1 & 2) and the partition coefficient (Pow) to be 5.73 x 10 E -2 at 21.6 ± 1.0 °C, Log10 Pow -1.24 at pH 11.6, using the shake-flask method. The water solubility of the test item was determined to be > 1000 g/L at ambient temperature.

The surface tension was determined to be 75.2 mN.m-1 (mean value) at 20°C. The Closed Cup Flash Point Temperature was found to be 138.5°C (corrected for barometric pressure).

The autoignition temperature of the test item has been determined to be 260°C. The sample is not a pyrophoric liquid and have neither explosive or oxidising properties.

The pKa of the test item was determined to be 10.55± 0.5 using the titration method.

The viscosity was determined to be : At 20°C: 7.84 cSt (mean of 2 runs) and At 40°C: 4.26 cSt (mean of 2 runs)
