The limiting impact energy, characterizing the impact sensitivity of the test item, is defined as the lowest impact energy at which explosion occurs in any of six trials. Based on the above test series according to UN Test Series 3, the limiting impact energy ofLeuco Sulfur Red 14is higher than 50 J.
Negative result was obtained in all of the six shock sensitivity tests performed at 40 J impact energy. ThereforeLeuco Sulfur Red 14does not present a danger of explosion in the sense of the EC A.14 directive.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- Leuco Sulfur Red 14proved to be insensitive to shock, explosionwas not observed.
Limiting impact energy (UN Test Series 3): > 50 J.
Leuco Sulfur Red 14presents no danger of explosion in the sense of the EC A.14 directive. - Executive summary:
The purpose of this study was to determine whetherLeuco Sulfur Red 14presents a danger of explosion when submitted to effect of shock. Test item was subjected to drop-weight impact using the BAM Fallhammer apparatus.
The following results were obtained:
Leuco Sulfur Red 14proved to be insensitive to shock, explosionwas not observed.
Limiting impact energy (UN Test Series 3): > 50 J.
Leuco Sulfur Red 14presents no danger of explosion in the sense of the EC A.14 directive.
