Description of key information

All of the substances in the calcium salts of monocarboxylic acids C14-C22 category decompose before boiling, with decomposition temperatures in the range of approximately 140 to 246°C.

Additional information

The data on calcium myristate, calcium 12 -hydroxystearate and calcium behenate are taken from proprietary study reports (Harlan 2013). This is supported by data on calcium palmitate (Lide 2009, O’Neil 2006) and calcium oleate (O’Neil 2006).
