First-aid measures

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately.
Skin: Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes, while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
Ingestion: Wash mouth out with water. Get medical aid immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1. Extinguishing media
Use agent most appropriate to extinguish fire.
Use foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture May produce toxic fumes if burning.
5.3. Advice for firefighters Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure- demand, MSHA/NIO (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Combustible liquid.

Accidental release measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in section 8.
6.2. Environmental precautions
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up Absorb spill with inert material (vermiculite, sand or earth) and placed in container for disposal. Do not let this chemical enter the environment. Remove all sources of ignition. Use a spark-proof tool. Wear a self contained breathing apparatus and appropriate personal protection. (See Exposure Controls, Personal Protection section).

Handling and storage

7.1. Precautions for safe handling
Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. Do not breathe vapor, mist or gas. Do not get in eyes, skin or on clothing.
7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a dry area. Protect from light. Keep refrigerated below 5oC.

Exposure controls / personal protection

8.2. Exposure controls Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentration below the permissible exposure limit.
Personal protective equipment:
Eye protection: Required, chemical splash goggles and face shield.
Skin protection: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent contact with skin.
Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimize contact with skin.
Respirator protection: A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149 must be follows Use a NIOSH.MSHA or European Standard approved respirator.

Stability and reactivity

10.2. Chemical stability Stable under recommended storage conditions
10.3. Possibility of hazardous reactions Has not been reported
10.4. Conditions to avoid Incompatible materials, ignition sources, exposure to moist air, light or water.
10.5. Incompatible materials Oxidizing agents, reducing acids, bases.
10.6. Hazardous decomposition products Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of in a manner consistent with local regulations.
