Conclusion on classification

Aquatic acute toxicity

48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna): > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

72 h, ErC50 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

72 h, ErC10 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): > 100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Biodegradation: not biodegradable: 0 % after 28-days (Manometric Respirometry Test, OECD 301 F)

Classification according to CLP

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was not biodegradable under the test conditions. No effects up to the limit conc. of 100 mg/L were observed in the Daphnia and algae studies. The respective EC50 values were determined to be >100 mg/L (>0.011 mg/L - above the water solubility). Therefore, the substance is neither classified for short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity nor classified for long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the fourteenth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/217.
