- Conclusions:
- Available data from 1-Octadecanol, phosphate, potassium salt were used to evaluate toxicity to algae for Phosphoric acid, C12-18-alkyl esters, potassium salts.
The toxicity of the read-across substance 1-Octadecanol, phosphate, potassium salt on the growth of the fresh water green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus was tested in a study according to OECD guideline 201.
No significant effects were observed up to and including the highest test concentration (WAF of 100 mg/L 1-Octadecanol, phosphate, potassium salt).
Growth rate:
72h-EC50: > 100 mg/L (nominal, WAF)
72h-NOEC:≥100 mg/L (nominal, WAF)
Yield:
72h-EC50: > 100 mg/L (nominal, WAF)
72h-NOEC:≥100 mg/L (nominal, WAF)
Reference
Description of key information
An 72h-EC50 of > 100 mg/L (grow, nominal, WAF) and a 72h-NOEC of ≥100 mg/L (grow, nominal, WAF) for toxicity to fresh water green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus were determined based on on read-across information for Phosphoric acid, C12-18 alkyl esters, potassium salts.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- EC50 for freshwater algae:
- 100 mg/L
- EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
- 100 mg/L
