Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
With this method, particles with diameters from 50 μm up to 18 mm (shadow projection) could be detected.
In addition to the evaluation of the two sieve fractions (<1600 μm and >1600 μm), the sum is also available in
the diagrams (size distribution and sum curve) on the following pages. The corresponding pictures are also
available.
The arithmetic mean of the Feret diameter of the fraction <1600 μm is 0.567mm. The mean value for the sample
>1600 μm is 0.745 mm. For the sum of both samples, the mean diameter is 0.632 mm.
In relation to the Feret diameter, the total proportion of particles (sum of both samples) smaller than 100 μm is 3.4 %.
