Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter

Description of key information

The partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be very low (log Kow = -0.36), threfore, no test on adsorption is required. Additionally, the test item decomposes rapidly through hydrolysis (half-life <10 min).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Annex VIII column 2 of the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH, the test on adsorption / desorption does not need to be performed if the substance has a low octanol-water partition coefficient. The partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be -0.36 (refer to IUCLID Section 4.7 'Partition coefficient').
