First-aid measures

After inhalation
Supply fresh air. If symptoms are experienced, get medical attention. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.
After skin contact:
IRRITANT SENSITISER: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. rinse with plenty of soap and water. Apply protective bandage with sterile gauze. Get medical attention if irritation or skin rash occurs. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse
After eye contact:
Immediately rinse with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Immediately Hold eyelids apart and flush eyes with plenty of cool low-pressure water for at least 10 minutes. Immediately contact an ophthalmologist. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
After ingestion:
ASPIRATION HAZARD: Do NOT induce vomiting. If person is conscious, rinse mouth and spit out with water. Obtain medical advice immediately.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed eg redness, eczema-like reactions ...
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed eg Hand washing point and eyewash station recommended at the workplace.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon-dioxide, powder, aqueous extinguishing media
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: water with jet.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Carbon oxides is produced when burning.
- Advice for fire fighter: Special protective equipment: Firemen must wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Cool undamaged containers or piping with water. Do not allow contaminated extinguishing water to enter the soil, ground-water or surface waters.

Accidental release measures

Person-safety precautions:
Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and inhalation of its vapours or smoke. Evacuate unprotected persons to safe areas. Provide adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition.
Measures for environmental protection:
Do not allow product to reach soil, waterways, drains and sewers. Do not discharge directly into drains or soil. Keep away from surface and ground water. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmental pollution (soil, waterways, drains or sewers).
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
In case of small spills, absorb spilled liquid with inert absorbent. Collect in an appropriate container properly labelled for disposal. Close it before disposal according to regulation.
In case of large spills, stop spill if it can be done without danger, dike and ump as much liquid as possible with an explosion-proof pump or a hand pump. Absorb the remaining liquid with inert absorbent. Collect in an appropriate container properly labelled for disposal. Close it before disposal according to regulation.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:
Wear personal protective equipment. Provide adequate ventilation where the product is handled. Avoid formation of aerosols
No smoking. Eating and drinking should be prohibited in application area. Avoid any sources of ignition. Avoid exposing to high temperature during processing. Do not ingest or apply to the skin as such. Good personal washing routines should be followed.Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Conditions for safe storage:
Store in a cool well-ventilated location. Keep container tightly sealed. Keep away from sources of ignition. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Respect general rules for compatibility storage.

Exposure controls / personal protection

No DNEL or PNEC values are available.

Engineering measures:
Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to vapours. Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.
General protective and hygienic measures:
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Individual washing routines should be followed after any potential contact.
Personal protective equipment - respiratory protection:
In case of any possible exposure wear gasmask with fresh air supply.
Personal protective equipment - Hand protection:
Use protective gloves resistant to chemicals (standard EN 374-1). Gloves should be replaced regularly and if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough. Closed working suit
Personal protective equipment - Eye protection:
Use safety glasses (standard EN 166).
Personal protective equipment - Body protection:
Wear protective work clothing.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity:
No data from specific reactivity tests are available for this substance.
Chemical stability:
Stable if handled and stored according to specifications.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Hazard Polymerisation: It does not undergo any dangerous reactions under normal conditions.
Conditions to avoid:
Avoid direct sunshine, excessive heat, sparks or open flame.
Prolonged or excessive heat and/or exposure to air may cause non-hazardous decomposition and/or oxidation of the substance. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Incompatible materials:
Oxidizing mineral acids, strong reducing agents, and strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Carbon monoxide and other unidentified organic compounds may be upon combustion.

Disposal considerations

Substance: Waste disposal by ignition in accordance with international, national and local regulations.
Packaging, waste product and materials used for absorbing spills should be disposed of in the same manner as the substance.
Do not contaminate the ground or water with waste. Do not dispose of waste into the environment.
