Description of key information

The test item is a white solid having a melting range of 90 - 120 °C and no boiling point under atmospheric conditions as decomposition occurs after melting. The relative density of the test item at 20 °C is 1.28 and the vapour pressure at 20 °C is 4.3 x 10E-4 Pa. A water solubility of 2.4 mg/L at 20 °C was determined and the organic solid is considered non-flammable. With respect to the particle size distribution, a significant part of the test item was present as large agglomerates and the particles had a sticky behaviour. Hence, the test item was sieved with a mesh size of 1000 µm. Only 23% (w/w) of the test item passed the sieve and only this fraction was measured with laser diffraction. The measured range of the median particle size D (v, 0.5) was 38 - 81 µm. The log Pow was estimated by QSAR and is 2.98.
