The vapour pressure was measured in the temperature range of 30 °C to 90 °C, chosen according to the temperatures for which results are to be reported, ending below the melting point of the test item. The mass of the test item was determined before (0.4389 g) and after (0.4148 g) the vapour pressure measurement. A mass loss of approximately 5% (w/w) was determined.

Table 1: Measured vapour pressures and corresponding temperatures

Temperature / °C

Vapour pressure / hPa

30

5.9 x 10E-6

40

1.3 x 10E-5

50

2.4 x 10E-5

60

4.2 x 10E-5

70

6.5 x 10E-5

80 8.8 x 10E-5
90 4.8 x 10E-5

The data point measured at 30 °C was not included in the linear regression because it was below the detection limit of the applied method. Above 80 °C the vapour pressure started to decrease and therefore the value at 90 °C was not used in the linear regression. The values for 20, 25 and 50 °C are calculated using the Antoine constants.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the test item was determined according to the OECD guideline 104 by effusion method using a vapour pressure balance. The vapour pressure was measured in the temperature range of 30 °C to 90 °C. The following vapour pressures were interpolated for 50 °C and extrapolated for 20 °C and 25 °C from the experimental data:
20 °C: 4.3 x 10E-4 Pa
25 °C: 5.9 x 10E-4 Pa
50 °C: 2.3 x 10E-3 Pa
