Endpoint:
oxidising gases
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid
Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid

Description of key information

The form and chemical structure of the test substance indicate no oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 Annex VII section 7.13 Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), the test on oxidising properties was waived as the chemical structure of the test item does not contain any functional groups quoted in 'Manual of Tests and Criteria' (fifth revised edition, appendix 6, chapter 6) which may indicate oxidizing properties. The test item was thus considered not oxidising. No experimental determination was carried out.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EU) No 2017/776, the substance is not considered to be classified as oxidising substance.
