The physico-chemical properties of Nonanoic acid, esters with adipic acid and trimethylolpropane such as low water solubility (WS of grade one: 22 μg/L to 43 μg/L (pH 6.3), WS of grade two: 13.5 μg/L (pH 6.3)), low volatilization potential (VP <0.0001 Pa at 20 °C) and high log Koc of the main substance components (log Koc: >5) indicate that the substance will presumably be mainly present in soil and sediment when released to the environment. However, the substance is not expected to accumulate and persist in these compartments due to its ready biodegradability.
