The test material did not boil as the temperature was gradually increased to 280°. The formation of a clear, colourless 'glass' and the presence of a brown discolouration above the level of the solidified compound (indicating decomposition) were noted. Thus the boiling point was not determinable. The estimated boiling point was 231° (based on its structure).
