Description of key information

Based on the GLP study (Reingruber, 2017) according to the methods OECD 117, EC A.24 and EPA OPPTS 830.7570 it is concluded that the test item, T002713 has a Pow value of > 1.6E+7. This corresponds to a log Pow value of > 7.2. A reliability rating of 2 was assigned to this study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the methodology followed for this substance was the HPLC method which may not be the preferred method for this substance. The modeled log Kow value for T002713 of 7.29 was obtained using KOWWIN v1.68 (based on SMILES input) and added as WoE. The HPLC method is an indirect method in which a calibration curve must be established using already-known log Kow values of several compounds and their respective log retention times on the HPLC column. The HPLC method is most useful for compounds which degrade rapidly in water, but would be relatively stable in the eluting solvent over the short analysis period. In the case of T002713, which is not biodegradable, it is expected that the determination via HPLC may have produced an anomalously high log Kow value. The QSAR result apears to confirm the measured value.
