Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
1 322 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
8 g/L
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
3.57

Parameters:
If the concentrations measured in at least the 2 last vessels do not differ by more than 15%, the test is satisfactory. If the results from vessels 1, 2 and 3 show a tendency of increasing values, the whole test should be repeated using longer equilibration times.

Results
The measured amounts of test substance (c = 8.0 g/L) in water after 24, 48 and 72 h are shown below.

24 h

48 h

72 h

1287.45 mg/L

1349.90 mg/L

1328.50 mg/L

The average water solubility is: 1322 mg/L.

In a second experiment 984 mg of test item were solved in 1 L water. The whole amount of test item dissolved and clear aqueous solutions (pH = 3.57) were obtained.

The recovery rate of 101% determined by HPLC/MS lies within the accepted range of 98 to 102 % and is in agreement with DIN EN 15527:2008 -9.
