Cyprinodon variegatus
Details on test organisms:
Immature juvenile sheepshead mitillow (Cyprinodon variegatlls) of a size 1.5 - 2.5 cm in length are
used. The fish are held in the test laboratory for at least 12 days before they are used for testing. For
the last 4 days before a test the fish must be held in water quality similar to test conditions:
Light regime: 12 - 16 hours photoperiod
Temperature: 18.0 - 22.0 °c
Oxygen: ::c: 60% saturation
The fish are not fed during the 24 hours before test start.

Comments: Stock solutions of the test item were prepared according to procedure 0, as described in the

OSPAR Guidelines for Toxicity Testing of Substances and Preparations Used and

Discharged Offshore. See pages 10-11 of this repOli. Test solutions were prepared from the

Water Accommodated Fraction (WAF).

Note: test results obtained when the test item is prepared according to procedure A refer to

the nominal concentrations of the test item as stated. Test results obtained when the test item

is prepared according to procedures B, C or D refer only to Water-Accommodated Fractions

ofthe test item prepared at the nominal concentrations of the test item stated.

The test results presented in this report were obtained from tests performed on a sample of

the test item sent to the test facility of Clariant Oil Services, formulated according to the

specifications supplied by the manufacturer or supplier at the time of testing. The test

results cannot be assumed to be valid for samples resulting £i'om subsequent modifications

to the original specifications as supplied.
