Method validation

- Specificity meets the acceptance criterion as the interference obtained for diluent was 1.57% and for diluent spiked with trapping agent (Matrix) was 6.82% which is < 30% of the standard response at LOQ.

- Linearity meets the acceptance criterion as the correlation coefficient obtained was 0.9995 to 1.0000 which is > 0.99.

- Limit of Detection (LOD) and Limit of Quantification (LOQ): The LOD was considered at 0.1 mg/L based on S/N ≈ 3/1. The LOQ was considered at 0.32 mg/L based on S/N ≥ 10/1, where silica blank (Matrix) was used to determine the noise.

- Accuracy (% Recovery) and Precision(% RSD): Recovery meets the acceptance criterion as the % recovery obtained was 101.33% for LOQ (0.30 mg/L) and 102.92% for 10 LOQ (3.01 mg/L) which is in the range of 70 to 110 % of the nominal concentration at each fortification level. Precision meets the acceptance criterion as the % RSD obtained was1.80% for LOQ (0.30 mg/L) and 0.70% for 10 LOQ (3.01 mg/L)which is<20.0%.

Tests:

- Preliminary Test – Gas Saturation Method: The obtained concentrations were 4.88 mg/L at 20 mL/minute, 20.11 mg/L at 40 mL/minute and 20.15 mg/L at 60 mL/minute.

- Definitive Test – Gas Saturation Method: The mean Vapour Pressure of the test item was 1.16 mPa at 20°C (40 mL/minute) and 1.26 mPa at 40°C (40 mL/minute)
