Key result
Parameter:
sensitiveness to friction: friction load (N)
Remarks:
Nm
Value:
40
Remarks on result:
not thermal sensitive if heated under defined confinement

- The test substance is not thermally sensitive according to the definition in the regulation EC No. 440/2008, Method A. 14.

- The tests on mechanical sensitivity with respect to shock according to the definition in the EU Method A. 14 were carried out with a falling mass of 5 kg and a falling height of 0.8 m. The shock energy is 40 Nm. Six tests on mechanical sensitivity show no reaction in all trials.

- The tests on mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction were carried out with 350 N. The test substance is not mechanical sensitive with respect to friction according to the definition in the EU Method A.14.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the test substance has no explosive properties.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine explosiveness properties of the test substance according the test EU Method A.14. The test substance was tested with respect to thermal (flame; Koenen Test) and mechanical (impact) sensitivity. Under the study conditions, the test substance has no explosive properties (Kintrup, 2018).

Description of key information

The explosive properties were determined according the EU Method A.14 (Kintrup, 2018).
