- Executive summary:
In the publication from Tscheu-Schlüter and Skibba (1986) the acute toxicity of Fenuron (90% purity) was determined on rainbow trout. After 96 hours, the LC50 was 204 mg/L. In deviation to the most recent OECD 203 guideline the test temperature was 20°C and the fish length was 7 -10 cm. These deviations were considered to be acceptable as it is not expected that these parameters will change the result for orders of magnitude.
The result is considered to be relevant and reliable with restrictions for the risk assessment.

Description of key information
Data from four freshwater fish are available. The most reliable study with rainbow trout resulted in an LC50 of 204 mg/L. The data demonstrate that fish are less sensitive when compared to algae. Hence further testing was considered not necessary.
