First-aid measures

General information: Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air; get medical attention
After skin contact:
Instantly rinse with water.
Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
After eye contact:
Rinse opened eye for at least 15 minutes under running water. Call a doctor immediately.
persist, consult doctor.
After swallowing:
Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No further relevant information available.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing agents:
CO2, extinguishing powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol-resistant foam.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with a full water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture Not applicable.
Advice for firefighters
Protective equipment:
Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Keep away from ignition sources.
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow product to reach sewage system or water bodies.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Collect mechanically.
Send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:
Store in cool, dry place in tightly closed containers.
Provide suction extractors if dust is formed.
Any deposit of dust which cannot be avoided must be removed regularly.
Use appropriate industrial vacuum cleaners or central vacuum systems for dust removal.

Information about protection against explosions and fires:
Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.
Eliminate possible ignition sources (e.g., heat, sparks, flame, impact, friction,
electricity). Do not smoke.
Protect against electrostatic charges.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Storage
Requirements to be met by storerooms and containers:
Do not store above 15 °C.
Storehouses and workplaces must be sufficiently ventilated.

Information about storage in one common storage facility:
Store away from foodstuffs.
Further information about storage conditions:
Protect from humidity and keep away from water.
Store in the dark.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Local exhaust ventilation is required unless used in a closed system. For laboratory use, handle in a lab hood. Make available emergency shower and eye wash station at the workplace. It is recommended that dust control equipment such as local exhaust ventilation and material transport systems involved in handling of this product be protected against dust flash fire and explosion hazards through appropriate methods, which may include the use of explosion relief vents, an explosion suppression system or an oxygen deficient environment. Ensure that dust-handling systems (such as exhaust ducts, dust collectors, vessels, and processing equipment) are designed in a manner to prevent the escape of dust into the work area (i.e., there is no leakage from the equipment). It is recommended that all facilities and equipment that generate, handle and/or store combustible dust be designed, maintained and operated in accordance with recognized national standards such as ANSI/NFPA 654/DIN or equivalent standards.

Exposure controls
Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygienic measures:
The usual precautionary measures should be adhered to general rules for handling chemicals.
Avoid close or long term contact with the skin.
Breathing equipment: Filter P
Protection of hands:
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.
Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture.
Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No further relevant information available.

Chemical stability:
Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided:
No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
Stable at below 15 deg C for 2 years

Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Risk of dust explosion if enriched with fine dust in presence of air.

Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.

Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available.
Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.
