Description of key information

Cytidine, N-benzoyl-5′-O-[bis(4 methoxyphenyl)phenylmethyl]-2′-deoxy-, 3′-[2-cyanoethyl bis(1-methylethyl)phosphoramidite] is a white solid powder which does not have a distinct melting point but shows an unusual softening in the temperature range between 40 -75 °C. Under atmospheric conditions, the substance decomposes before boiling at a temperature of approximately 130 °C. The relative density of the test item at 20 °C is 1.23 and the vapour pressure at 20 °C is < 9.9 x 10E-8 Pa. No exact value for water solubility could be determined because the maximum value is below the limit of quantification of the analytical method (LOQ = 0.53 mg/L). Therefore, the log Pow was estimated by QSAR and is 6.5. The organic substance is considered non-flammable and the particle size distribution of the solid powder is: D(v; 0.1) = 3.9 µm; D(v; 0.5) = 91.4 µm; D(v; 0.9) = 888.3 µm.
