Refer to the attached expert assessment

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not applicable
Conclusions:
As a result of this assessment and in accordance with Annex IX of REACH and ECHA (2016),
it is concluded that there are no grounds for concern for the aquatic compartment given the
physico chemical properties and the available aquatic toxicity data for the substance. In
addition, it is clear from the exposure assessment for the substance that the predicted
exposure concentrations for fresh and marine water compartments, for all uses in the EU were
0 mg/L and as such, vertebrate testing to establish the long-term toxicity of 2-Propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, tetracosyl ester(branched) to fish would be unjustified.
Executive summary:

An assessment was conducted to evaluate the long-term toxicity to fish of 2-Propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, tetracosyl ester(branched) based on physicochemical properties and available data on the substance and to determine whether it is necessary to perform a study on the long-term toxicity to fish for the proper Chemical Safety Assessment of the substance.

As a result of this assessment and in accordance with Annex IX of REACH and ECHA (2016),
it is concluded that there are no grounds for concern for the aquatic compartment given the
physico chemical properties and the available aquatic toxicity data for the substance. In
