Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

BAM fall hammer test:

In none of the 6 tests any sign of ignition or explosion was observed with the test substance. There were no flames, no sparks and no bang.

No signs of ignition or explosion were observed with the negative reference substance.

BAM friction test:

All 6 tests with the test substance showed the same results. There were no signs of an ignition or explosion, no flames, no sparks and no crepitating.

No signs of ignition or explosion were observed with the negative reference substance.

KOENEN steel tube test:

No sign of explosion was detected in any of the tests.

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The substance has no explosive properties with regard to shock, friction and thermal stress.

Executive summary:

Methods

The explosive properties were determined using the following methods:

• The BAM (Bundesanstalt fuer Materialforschung und -pruefung, Berlin) fall hammer test which is a test for mechanical sensitivity.

• The BAM friction test which is a test for mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction.

• The KOENEN steel tube test which is a test for thermal sensitivity.

Results
