Any other information on results incl. tables

Three tests were conducted according to guidelines similar to guideline A.10. T002680 (4 -aminobenzonitrile) was dried before testing.

1. T002680 (4-aminobenzonitrile) could not be ignited by the 1000 °C hot platin wire, which was dipped for 5 seconds into the dried substance. Only melting of the test substance could be observed. ("Bewertungszahl" BWZ 1).

2. T002680 (4-aminobenzonitrile) could be ignited by an open gas flame held onto the substance, but stops to burn after the contact with the flame immediately. ("Bewertungszahl": 2).

3. T002680 (4 -aminobenzonitrile) could not be ignited when put into a red heated iron bowl for 60 seconds. The substance is melting and afterward strong smoke could be observed ("Bewertungszahl": 1). In a mixture with potassium nitrat strong smoke and afterwards rapid burning down of the mixture could be observed. ("Bewertungszahl": 6). Overall "Bewertungszahl": 3.5

Under the conditions of this tests T002680 (4 -aminobenzonitrile) is considered to be not highly flammable.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the given tests T002680 (4-aminobenzonitrile) could only be ignited in direct contact with a gas flame or in mixture with potassium nitrate. Therefore T002680 (4-aminobenzonitrile) is considered to be not highly flammable.
