Annex XI, Section 2, of Regulation EC No. 1907/2006, states that testing for a specific endpoint may be omitted if it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of the properties of the substance. According to Regulation EC No. 440/2008, A.9, Section 1.1, the test procedure is applicable to liquid substances whose vapours can be ignited by ignition sources. As this substance is not a liquid, its flammability will be assessed by other methods applicable to solid materials.
