Description of key information

A hydrolysis study was conducted with AD 1 at a nominal test concentration of 100 mg/mL in 3 aqueous buffer solutions: pH 4 (citrate buffer), pH 7 (phosphate buffer) and pH 9 (borate buffer). The data generated during this study demonstrate that AD 1 in aqueous solution over the pH range of 4 - 9 at 50°C for 5 days does not hydrolyze.

The hydrolysis of AD 1 is negligible at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9. The degradation of AD 1 was less than 10 % at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 at 50 °C over a period of 120 hours. Therefore the corresponding half-life time can be estimated to be longer than one year at 25 °C.

This study indicates that abiotic degradation is not a major route of degradation for AD 1 in the environment.
