Executive summary:

The test was performed as stipulated in EC Test Procedure A.2 ‘Boiling Temperature'.

The boiling temperature was determined with the DCS-method described in ASTM E 472-86 and DIN 51007:1994. A sample was placed in a crucible made of aluminum and closed with a cap with a hole from about 0.5 mm. This hole was covered by a sphere from 1.5 mm diameter. The crucible with the substance and a reference crucible were subjected to the same controlled temperature program. The sample was heated at a linear rate of 10 K/min from 30 °C to 330 °C. The measurement was recorded electronically. The measurement was done twice.

Anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt exhibits no boiling point up to a temperature of 300 °C (1,029 hPa) according to EC A.2.
